Adult Bamboo Toothbrush

(3 customer reviews)

Fully compostable bamboo handle.

Lasts as long as a plastic toothbrush.

Multiple unique designs, designed in South Africa.

BPA-free bristles.

Well over 100 million plastic toothbrushes are thrown away in South Africa. Every single year. About 100 billion plastic toothbrushes are estimated to have been made since the industrial revolution. Guess how many are still lying around someplace? 100 billion. Do you remember that blue and green toothbrush you had when you were 7? No? The seagulls do, cause it’s still lying around at a landfill! In fact, 1 million seabirds die each year due to plastic waste, as well as hundreds of thousands of other marine life.

The Bamboozles toothbrushes are made from 100% compostable MOSO bamboo. Bamboo is the fastest-growing plant in the world, doesn’t require toxic pesticides and uses very little water to grow! The bristles are made from a BPA-free polymer, so the handle and bristles are both anti-microbial under normal use. The brush lasts just as long as an ordinary toothbrush!

Store the brush in a dry place to ensure ideal longevity of the handle. Note the bristles are not compostable, so please remove them and ecobrick or recycle them before throwing the brush away. Unfortunately the only compostable bristles currently possible are made from pig hair… Go figure.

Order note: If you want a particular design, please add a comment at checkout. Otherwise, we’ll send you a random design. The bristles are medium hardness, although we have soft bristles available as well (only with the dog design though).

Let’s just say my bamboo one is the first toothbrush I’ve had which I’ve been complimented on haha… It lasted 5 months with no problem, the bristles wore out, is all!
